and in special themed contest (Halloween) - framed picture (oops, my camera strap is in the photos!)
Clearly, I don't have a common thread (no pun intended) in what I stitch! Eclectic, that's me!

Aww, gee, thanks! I have my fingers crossed. But the best is that my husband likes all nine of those pieces! (and so does my neighbor who is after me to enter the State Fair --- I really should look into that, if only to get her to stop bugging me!).
I agree, they do seem to have some "current" categories but it frustrates me that there is no 16 CT category in samplers! And everything BUT cross stitch is lumped in Speciality Needlework so my blackwork competes with hardanger and needlepoint and (Apples v Oranges, IMO).

Fortunately, I use the misc. categories, and the holiday non-specific craft categories to their full potential :) So I could never enter more than 5 pieces of stitching - and have every possible category covered. It's so 1972...
